    Skelleftea Brinner... igen

    Sara Kulturhus Stage 4

Note! Enter through the north entrance. On Saturday, September 26, we're lighting up Sara Kulturhus as four local metal bands make "Skellefteå brinner... igen" (Skellefteå is on fire... Again) a reality. The evening features a lineup from the local scene: Orcus, Engraved, Rhomb, and Wytch. It's an especially momentous occasion as both Orcus and Wytch return to the stage after more than eight years of silence. Four bands, one stage, and an evening filled with local metal in its purest form. Don't miss the chance to witness the fire of Skellefteå's metal scene.

    Oh What a Night

    Sara kulturhus Stage 1

Ten years ago, Peter Johansson, Bruno Mitsogiannis, David Lindgren and Robert Rydberg took Sweden by storm when they together created the hit musical Jersey Boys in both Stockholm and Gothenburg. A few years later, they filled arenas around the country with their acclaimed show Oh What a Night. Now they are finally back -- this time in a more intimate and musically impressive concert hall format. The audience can expect an evening where anything can happen when these four well-coordinated, charming and energetic entertainers are once again on stage together. Act 1 -- Jersey Boys A whole act is dedicated to the audience favorites from Jersey Boys, where classics such as "December '63 (Oh What a Night)", "Sherry" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" are given new life with four-part brilliance and a presence that fills the entire room. Act 2 -- The Musicals That Shaped Them In the second act, the guys offer highlights from the musicals they have appeared in over the years -- including We Will Rock You, Saturday Night Fever, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story and Mamma Mia and more. A cavalcade of iconic songs and total showmanship. It will be an unforgettable evening filled with humor and warmth. A show that will not only entertain, but also radiate elegance, luxury and grand musical brilliance. Welcome to -- O What A Night.

    Byström and Tjajkovskij

    Sara kulturhus Stage 1

A sense of space, mild weather, and a powerful finale The concert opens with a short work by the Bulgarian-British composer Dobrinka Tabakova. *Orpheus' Comet* evokes a sense of space and movement. Next comes *Halkyoniska dagar* (Halcyon Days) by Britta Byström, a piece that allows its sonorities to linger; the title refers to a period of calm, mild weather. The soloist is flautist Laura Michelin from Norrköping, one of Sweden's most acclaimed young musicians. The second half of the concert features Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, one of the composer's most frequently performed symphonies. The music begins in a dark, restrained manner but gradually builds to a powerful and triumphant finale---offering the orchestra a chance to display its full dynamic range, from hushed intimacy to grand, majestic power. Conductor: Diego Matheuz Soloist: Laura Michelin Norrland Opera Symphony Orchestra Program Dobrinka Tabakova: *Orpheus' Comet*, 5 min Britta Byström: *Halkyoniska dagar* (Halcyon Days), 25 min I. Rocket 88 - A Night Of Blues And Originals

    Sara Kulturhus Hjortronet

Rocket 88 & The Rockettes invite you to an evening where the past and the present meet through music. The evening begins with a tribute to the roots of the blues---the music that laid the foundation for the band's journey. With passion and infectious energy, Rocket 88 & The Rockettes transport the audience to Chicago blues clubs and the American South through timeless blues classics, performed with the spirit and feeling that have made the band a favorite both in Sweden and abroad. After the intermission, a new chapter begins. The second half of the concert focuses on the band's original songs. Here, you will hear music developed in recent years---inspired by the blues but with a distinctive style where rock, soul, and Americana converge in stories about life, dreams, and experiences. It is music with the same soul as always, yet with a voice of its own. "A Night of Blues and Originals" is more than just a concert; it is a journey through the history of Rocket 88 & The Rockettes---from their roots to the future, from classic blues gems to the band's own stories. Welcome to an evening filled with musical joy, great grooves, and music from the heart. Performance time: approx. 8:00 PM -- 10:00 PM

    Valter Nilsson

    Sara kulturhus Stage 2

Valter Nilsson is the artist who, within a few months, climbed from club gig to selling out 12,000 tickets to this summer's gig at Bananpiren in lightning speed. Now it is clear that the Gothenburg phenomenon's highly anticipated album "Högsbo Riviera", where he refines his soul rock'n'roll filled with everyday stories and social pathos, will be released on March 27, 2026 - and from which we have just received a taste in the form of the reality-based sing-along favorite "Lukas, Dennis & farsan". There is no doubt that more and more people want to be part of the community that Valter Nilsson and Stigberget invite to. Most recently proven by the fact that it took only a couple of days to sell all 12,000 tickets to the Bananpiren gig in Gothenburg on August 8th and before that the lightning-fast sold-out triple concerts at Nefertiti in November (where GP exclaimed in a 5 out of 5 review: "Sell your children for a ticket") and Pustervik this spring. Add growing audiences around the country (including a sold-out gig at Fasching in Stockholm in November), a successful performance at Musikhjälpen last winter, a win in the Nöjesguiden Gothenburg Prize and it is increasingly clear that the last has hardly been said about Valter Nilsson. An assumption that is reinforced by the new album "Högsbo Riviera", where he and faithful gunner Johan Weber refine their craft and expand the soundscape with significant elements of wind and strings. Overall, a rare creation that is filled with both self-confidence and humility, which is at the same time triumphant and a little painful. Valter Nilsson debuted in Swedish with the album "Bland de gyllene och de allmänt brända" in the spring of 2025. On October 16, Carl-Johan Vallgren is releasing both the album *Kaddish* and the novel *Kärleken*---twin works exploring loss, love, and life following his wife's passing, featuring flashbacks to the past. Produced by Johan Lindström, *Kaddish* is Vallgren's first album in 16 years. "In a way, the album might be the soundtrack to the book, but it could also be the exact opposite---that the novel is the explanation for the album," says Vallgren. Vallgren originally planned to write a sequel to his acclaimed novel *Din tid kommer*. When the creative spark for that project failed to materialize, he picked up his guitar instead---for the first time in many years. The melodies came quickly, and soon the idea for a novel on the same theme began to take shape. The two works subsequently developed in parallel. "I started writing because I had no choice. I had to make sense of what actually happened in order to move forward with my life. The album and the book are also a farewell, a declaration of love, and---not least---a celebration of life." In the autumn of 2026, Carl-Johan Vallgren and his musicians will embark on a nationwide tour of Sweden.

    Sara Kulturhus Södra foajen

After dinner, the evening continues on Stage 1 with a concert by E.M.D. Tickets for Stage 1 will be sent out via email before the Winter Gala. The song "Välkommen hem" still tops the Spotify list during Christmas time. In 2011, they took a break to focus on solo careers and songwriting. On December 18, E.M.D. reunites for a full-scale, but at the same time intimate, performance at SARA Kulturhus. It will be an exciting concert evening with both new acts and beloved familiar ones.
