One for the music crowd.

The Chains began as a one-off tribute to Terry Hall's importance to ska music, but the project quickly grew into something much more permanent. After a memorial concert at Loppen, it became clear that the chemistry between the band members could not be contained within a single night. The band brings together musicians from several generations of the Danish ska and reggae scene, united by a shared love of the genre's energy, sense of community, and DIY spirit. Featuring members from acts such as Leo & The Lineup, The Courettes, Napoleon Solo, Von Dü, and Fall Back Down, The Chains draws on decades of experience from both the Danish and international music scenes. Although the project was initially founded as a tribute to Terry Hall and The Specials, the band soon began writing original material of their own. The result was the debut album 'Crying On The Dancefloor' in 2024, followed by 'Be Careful What You Wish For' in 2026. Both releases have attracted attention far beyond Denmark's borders, establishing The Chains as one of the most talked-about contemporary acts on the international ska scene. On stage, the band combines classic two-tone ska, reggae, and soul with strong melodies, sharp arrangements, and infectious musicianship. The Chains is a band created by musicians who missed this particular sound themselves and decided to create it on their own terms. It is music made to be played loud, shared with others, and danced to. Skaface 2.0 are veterans of the Copenhagen ska scene, returning with a brand-new concept.
