Svartsot have been a defining force in the Danish folk metal scene since their formation in 2005. Blending the melodies of folk and medieval music with the weight and intensity of death metal, the band has developed a distinctive sound where bagpipes, whistles and mandolin meet heavy guitars, growled vocals and a relentless rhythmic foundation. Drawing inspiration from Danish folk songs, historical narratives and ancient legends, Svartsot transform these stories into a powerful contemporary metal format. Across six albums, the band have refined their approach, most recently on 'Peregrinus', released to mark their 20th anniversary. Recorded with Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios, the album represents another milestone in the band's long-running career. Over the years, Svartsot have performed at festivals such as Wacken, Graspop, Roskilde Festival and Copenhell, while touring extensively throughout Europe. With a strong focus on their audience, they have built a reputation for delivering energetic and celebratory live shows without compromising the music's heaviness. On Friday 19 December, Svartsot take over BETA for an evening of melodic folk metal, Danish storytelling and raw energy. It will be the final opportunity of the year to experience the band live in Copenhagen. Deadflesh have been carrying the torch for old-school death metal since 1994, maintaining an uncompromising dedication to heavy riffs, crushing grooves and sheer brutality. Inspired by bands such as Bolt Thrower, Obituary, Autopsy and early Six Feet Under, the Roskilde-based group deliver a sound rooted firmly in the classic traditions of the genre while retaining their own identity. Guttural vocals, massive guitars and a thunderous rhythm section provide the backdrop for songs exploring war, conflict and the darker aspects of human nature. On stage, Deadflesh translate this universe into a direct and high-energy live experience where aggression and heaviness take centre stage. As support for Svartsot, Deadflesh will add an extra dose of Danish metal with roots firmly planted in the death metal tradition.
