Rakim Mayers, aka A$AP Rocky, is a man of many faces: entrepreneur, actor, fashion icon, and above all, an extremely versatile rapper. He broke through in 2011 and continues to dominate the music industry today with over 25.7 billion streams and 8.8 billion views on YouTube. His albums "LONG.LIVE.A$AP" (2011), "AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP" (2015), and "TESTING" (2018) all reached number 1 on the international charts. He has not gone unnoticed in the fashion world either. In 2024, he launched his own creative agency and label 'AWGE' and last year he co-hosted the Met Gala. He is also creative director at Ray-Ban and PUMA and recently became brand ambassador for Chanel. After eight years of waiting, his long-awaited fourth album 'Don't Be Dumb' was released last Friday, for which he collaborated with producers such as Metro Boomin, Pharrell Williams, and film composer Danny Elfman. The album cover was designed by film director and icon Tim Burton. With Winona Ryder starring in the music video, a psychedelic sound, and a mix of rap and vocals, the first single, "Punk Rocky," was an instant hit.
